Ein Psalm Davids für Ekstase.
A psalm of David, for ecstasy.
Do êxtase de David.
2 In te, Domine, speravi ; non confundar in æternum : in justitia tua libera me.
|||||schäme mich|||||||
|||||be ashamed|||||||
|||||não serei confundido|||||||
2 In thee, O Lord, have I hoped; let me not be confounded for ever: in thy righteousness deliver me.
3 Inclina ad me aurem tuam ; accelera ut eruas me.
|||||||rettest|

|||||||me libertes|
3 Neige dein Ohr zu mir; beeile dich, mich zu retten.
Esto mihi in Deum protectorem, et in domum refugii, ut salvum me facias : 4 quoniam fortitudo mea et refugium meum es tu ; et propter nomen tuum deduces me et enutries me.

Be thou my protector God, and my house of refuge, that thou mayest make me safe: 4 for thou art my strength and my refuge; and for your name's sake you will bring me and feed me.

5 You will lead me out of this trap which they have hidden from me, because you are my protector.
6 In manus tuas commendo spiritum meum ; redemisti me, Domine Deus veritatis.
|||befehle|||hast erlöst||||der Wahrheit

6 In deine Hände befehle ich meinen Geist; Du hast mich erlöst, Herr, Gott der Wahrheit.
6 Into thy hands I commend my spirit; You have redeemed me, Lord God of truth.
7 Odisti observantes vanitates supervacue ; ego autem in Domino speravi.
O you who|watching|vanities|in vain|||||

7 Thou hast hated those who observe vanities needlessly; But I hoped in the Lord.
8 Exsultabo, et lætabor in misericordia tua, quoniam respexisti humilitatem meam ; salvasti de necessitatibus animam meam.
I will exult|||||||you have regarded|||you saved||needs||
|||||||observaste|||||||
8 I will rejoice and be glad in your mercy, because you have respected my humility; You have saved my soul from necessity.
9 Nec conclusisti me in manibus inimici : statuisti in loco spatioso pedes meos.
|you have confined|||||you set|||spacious||
9 You did not shut me up in the hands of the enemy: you set my feet in a spacious place.
10 Miserere mei, Domine, quoniam tribulor ; conturbatus est in ira oculus meus, anima mea, et venter meus.
||||I am troubled|troubled|||||||||belly|
10 Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am afflicted; My eye, my soul, and my stomach are troubled in anger.
11 Quoniam defecit in dolore vita mea, et anni mei in gemitibus.
|has failed|||||||||groans
11 For my life has failed in sorrow, and my years in groaning.
My virtue|||poverty||||bones|||
My strength is weakened in poverty, and my bones are troubled.
12 Super omnes inimicos meos factus sum opprobrium, et vicinis meis valde, et timor notis meis ; qui videbant me foras fugerunt a me.
||||||disgrace||neighbors|||||known|||||outside|fled||

12 I have become a reproach to all my enemies, and to my neighbors very much, and to my acquaintances the fear; those who saw me outside fled from me.
13 Oblivioni datus sum, tamquam mortuus a corde ; factus sum tamquam vas perditum : 14 quoniam audivi vituperationem multorum commorantium in circuitu.

17 Shine your face upon your servant; Save me in your mercy.
18 Domine, non confundar, quoniam invocavi te.

18 Lord, let me not be confounded, for I have called upon thee.
Erubescant impii, et deducantur in infernum ; 19 muta fiant labia dolosa, quæ loquuntur adversus justum iniquitatem, in superbia, et in abusione.

Let the wicked be ashamed, and be brought down to hell; 19 Let the deceitful lips be mute, which speak against the just iniquity, in pride, and in abuse.
